Safety Is No Accident: Promo Products Decrease Injuries

Promotional products are not always used to benefit one’s customers, but also one’s employees!  A food processing company was having a rough time minimizing their work-related injuries.  This resulted in remarkably high financial costs, low productivity, and even lower morale!  Safety was not number one priority in the eyes of their, as they were simply not taking the proper precautions.  No matter what management tried, the problem persisted.  So how’s one to solve this pervasive predicament?  They turned to a promotional products-oriented safety campaign.

Basically this campaign was an incentive system for the employee’s.  Those who could stay safe would gain rewards!  They started the event with the distribution of imprinted buttons, which allowed those employee’s who remained accident free the opportunity to enter a raffle.  Over 20 products were used, ranging from embroidered blankets to imprinted radios, all branded with the theme:  “Planting the Seed of Safety and Harvesting the Rewards.”

The result:  record high safety ratings!  All of the 600+ employees (literally, 100%) participated in the campaign, resulting in a 67% decrease in accidents!

Promotional Points

1)   Served a practical function – Safety is vital to the survival of a business (literally)!  By way of an incentive program, this organization was able to cut costs due to injury and increase productivity at the same time!

2)   Took care of the working man – This promotion clearly showed that the “higher-ups” care about those they lead!  Not only did they care about their safety, but also their quality of life, as shown by the giving of promotional gifts!

3)   Struck the financial chord – Not only did the organization take care of their employee’s, they were also able to generate a positive cash flow out of the promotion!  Their return on investment was incredibly high due to their increased productivity!
